Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) on Wednesday announced that it is offering unlimited Internet to Smart Broadband Inc.’s (Smart Bro) postpaid subscribers.Smart Broadband is the Internet provider subsidiary of Smart.
The new Smart Bro Plan 1500 pesos a month comes with Smart Bro’s Plug-It, a USB stick-type modem that can be used right out of the box, which gives broad-band speeds of up to 2 mbps. This is in comparison to the regular home antenna SMART Bro for 999 of speeds up to 512 kbps Maximum so this new maximum for the USB is a big speed boost.
It will also have unlimited Wi-Fi access at all Airborne Access hot-spots nationwide. 24 month contract. 2 mbps fastest speed (my comment) but my experience many Smart towers have not be upgraded to handle this (example Catmon, Cebu) Called “Plan 1,500 Unlimited” Users are required to pay a two-month advanced service fee of P1,598 to avail of the package, 7/9/09 Manila Times
