Finally the prices on LCD TVs are coming down at SM Appliance, the USA has been down for years and sales are booming. Makro has offered LCDs 32 inch for 19,000 and less and 42 inch recently for 37,000. Since Makro is owned by SM, I am sure that SM Appliance can also offer these excellent prices and I look forward to mass appeal pricing like they do at Makro http://www.makro.com.ph/

Above ad is good until September 30, 2009 and appeared in newspapers today 9/18/09 click on photo to make larger.  Still not as low as Makro but name brand Panasonic here

Makro has some good buys on LCDs but often run out of stock.  Just click the link below and then click nonfood on the left and then use the next arrow on the top of the screen to scroll through the current offerings which change every two weeks.  Currently as of Sunday October 4 they have a Matrix 22 inch LCD for 11,999 pesos and a 32 inch ChongHong LCD for 24,990 pesos which is cheaper than Robinsons and SM Appliance but I have seen them even cheaper at Makro so check their Makro mail online to see what the current offerings are

One thing I heard from a Balikbayan box company is its one of the biggest things people are sending from the UK. Due to the recession prices are probably as low as they are going to get I have seen 19″+ with built in DVD players for around P8,000 might even have been 22″ but the 32″ Screens are around P22,000
